Hello, I'm Mariana!
I am a passionate Data Scientist and doctoral student in the Postgraduate Program in Computer Science at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (PPGCC/UFMG, 2021). With a solid academic background, I hold B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Science from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), earned in 2017 and 2020 respectively.
During my undergraduate years, I actively contributed to the Apoena Project - Past, Present and Future in Academic Social Networks (Web page: Apoena Project) as a research assistant. This experience allowed me to gain valuable insights into the context of academic social networks. As an MSc student, I further honed my skills and knowledge by participating in the Bàde Project - Métricas Sobre Dados de/para Redes Sociais em Diferentes Contextos (Web page: Bàde Project). This research venture focused on exploring metrics for analyzing social networks in diverse contexts.
Driven by a profound curiosity for the field, my research interests revolve around Data Science, Machine Learning, and Social Network Analysis. I am enthusiastic about uncovering meaningful patterns and extracting insights from complex datasets. By leveraging cutting-edge methodologies and tools, I strive to contribute to the advancement of these fields, ultimately aiming to make a positive impact in the world. 😊
